Chrome extension installation guide

Download & unzip. Download the ZIP above and extract it into a folder you’ll keep.
Open Extensions. Type chrome://extensions into Chrome’s address bar, or open the puzzle-piece menu → Manage extensions.
Enable Developer mode. Turn on the switch at the top right of the Extensions page.
Load the folder. Choose Load unpacked and select the extracted folder containing manifest.json, not the ZIP.
Sign in on MatchLetter. The dashboard opens automatically. Use your MatchLetter account; no Letterboxd or IMDb password is needed.
Pin & browse. Open Chrome’s puzzle-piece menu, pin MatchLetter, then refresh your Letterboxd or IMDb tab.

Updating? Replace the extension files, click Reload on its card in chrome://extensions, and refresh your film tabs. The extension works in desktop Chrome; use the dashboard app on your phone.

Install the dashboard in Chrome

Open your MatchLetter dashboard in Chrome.
Choose Install in Chrome’s native prompt when it appears.
On a computer: use the install icon in the address bar, or ⋮ → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app….
On Android: open ⋮ → Install and create shortcut → Install. Some versions use Install app or Add to Home screen.
Confirm the browser’s installation dialog. Open MatchLetter from your home screen or app launcher.

On iPhone or iPad, open the dashboard in Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen.

Sign-in stays on MatchLetter. The extension has no editable profile identity or app address. Public profiles are comparison targets, not proof of ownership.
